Creative Jubilee Celebrations

If you have creative plans for the Jubilee, perhaps you are sculpting a model of a crown or even the Queen herself then look no further than foam block as a solution for your sculpting and modelling requirements.

All our block is available to buy online in either expanded polystyrene (EPS) or expanded polypropylene (EPP).  Foam block can be used for all sorts of applications including model making, sculpting and arts & crafts. It is also commonly used to make theatre props and film sets for stage and screen.

There are various different methods that can be used to create your desired design. If you are looking to create and intricate masterpiece then scooping and sanding will give you a better finish on you creation, whereas if you are just after a rough outline hotwire cutting or slicing would be more than sufficient.

If you wish to paint polystyrene block then water based paints and spray paints are your best option, to achieve a better finish you can apply a coat of 50/50 PVA glue to water mix before the paint, acrylic craft paint can be used to add finer details. For painting EPS only water based paints will work, paints and glues with solvents in can melt the foam.

EPS and EPP block are both environmentally friendly materials which are lightweight, durable and 100% recyclable.
